Below you will find the most frequently asked questions that we get here at our New Hampshire location.

Q. Why should I use Affordable Concrete Cutting Southern New Hampshire?
A. Besides the fact that we provide unmatched quality, pricing below industry standards and offer courteous "Old Fashioned" service, Affordable Concrete Cutting Southern New Hampshire uses advanced diamond cutting technology. We provide significant advantages over more time consuming conventional methods that the "hacks" use. These advantages vary depending on the job, but include fast, precise "smooth as glass" concrete cutting technology, a dust free environment and reduced stress on the structure being serviced.

Q. Will there be any dust or mess?
A. No, we use water and diamond segmented concrete saw blades to cut your concrete. As the water hits the concrete cutting diamond blade, it traps any dust particles thus producing a liquid substance called slurry, in which we vacuum up.

Q. How long does the process take?
A. Generally, a doorway "Cut & Drop" takes between 3 to 4 hours from the time we arrive until the time we leave. Depending on your situation it could obviously take more time or less.

Q. Do you do the cutting from the inside or the outside of my home?
A. Generally, when possible, we cut from the outside. Cutting from the exterior to the interior allows most of the water used to cool our blades and eliminate dust to be deposited outside of your home. We also use special water control procedures on the interior to make sure any water that does enter your home is contained.

Q. Will the edges of my concrete doorway or windows be smooth?
A. Yes, the edges will be smooth as glass. Your openings will be so smooth, level, plumb and square that a door or window can be framed out within it immediately after our completion.

Q. Do you remove the concrete from my site?
A. In most residential cases it is not cost effective for us to remove the concrete from site, although we do offer this service, it is very expensive. We do, however, jackhammer or "Break Up" the concrete into manageable football size pieces for easy handling for an additional charge.

Q. Do you install windows and/or doors into the openings when you are done cutting?
A. No. You should contact a professional that specializes in this field of construction. Try your local "Handyman" service or a retired carpenter in your neighborhood.

Q. Do you pour concrete foundations, slabs or patios?
A. No. You should contact a professional that specializes in this field of construction.

Q. When is the best time to cut a doorway or window in my concrete foundation?
A. If possible, the best time is during the excavation of your project, if any may occur. Your window or doorway can be "Cut and Dropped" into a hole or a "grave" that your excavation contractor can dig for you. This saves you the cost of break up and the nuisance of removal. Just cover it up and it is gone forever.

Q. How much do I need to dig out for a basement doorway prior to your arrival if any digging is necessary?
A. You must dig at least 1 foot wider than the side cuts (preferably 20"), 8 feet back from the wall, and down to the footing. The doorway is removed in one large piece. If you want to bury the piece rather than paying to have it "Broken Up", then it needs to be dug at least 15" below the footing of the concrete wall. (We recommend having this area dug out by a professional excavating contractor rather than by hand) Due to time constraints and scheduling it is very important that this task, along with all necessary layout of cut lines be completed prior to our arrival at your site.

Q. How much do I need to dig out for a basement window prior to your arrival?
A. Ideally, You need to dig 1 foot wider than the side cuts, 4 feet back from the wall, and 1 foot deeper than the bottom cut. (In many cases this digging can be achieved by an aggressive "Do it Yourselfer".) Due to time constraints and scheduling it is very important that this task, along with all necessary layout of cut lines be completed prior to our arrival at your site.

Q. What do I need to remove or clean out in my basement for a doorway or window cut?
A. We need about 5 feet cleared away from the wall inside the basement and 3 feet on each side of the cuts. You must remove any items or shelving that are in this area of the cuts prior to our arrival. We will need to install protective tarps and have access for a vacuum in the area provided if necessary.

Q. Will there be any fumes, dust or mess?
A. No fumes, no dust and no mess!

Q. Do you only cut concrete?
A. No, we also cut, drill and demolish brick, asphalt, granite, and other masonry materials.

Q. Do you install precast concrete basement stairways and bulkheads!
A. Yes, we will arrange for a complete bulkhead package to be installed for you. We also oversee the installation of precast concrete stairs and railing systems for front and rear entry into your home.

Q. What areas of New Hampshire do you service?
A. We are located in Manchester, New Hampshire and because of the large amount of work available in this area, we only service about a 40 minute radius of our location and we prefer servicing Southern New Hampshire and border towns of Massachusetts and Maine.

PLEASE NOTE: All excavating and layout of cut lines must be done prior to our arrival on your site in order for you to avoid any "downtime" charges.

Thank You Southern New Hampshire For Making Affordable Concrete Cutting #1.

We Sincerely Appreciate Your Business!
